Cacique Pipeline Scholarship Program

Buenanueva Foundation, Inc. is proud to administer a recently instituted Cacique Pipeline Scholarship Program (CPSP) for the benefit of eligible full time students from Cacique employee families, Buenanueva Foundation, Inc. programs graduates, Mount San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) single parents, and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) Renaissance Scholars (emancipated from Foster Care system) and Hispanic students at large.

For consideration, interested students must first complete the generic CPSP application form (PDF) and turn it in to their designated application office prior to the deadline for their specific situation.

Available scholarship awards will be granted based on the above priority listing at $500 for Mt. SAC semester and at $1,000 per California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Quarter.

Buenanueva Foundation Scholarship

Each year, a limited number of scholarships are awarded to graduating students who have benefited from participation in one or more programs sponsored by Buenanueva Foundation, Inc.

The amount of each award is based on the discretion of the Buenanueva Foundation Scholarship Committee; however awards range from between $300 to $600 per quarter/semester.  Depending on the applicant’s progress and the availability of funds, scholarships may continue to be awarded as the applicant advances toward her/his career goal, up to earning a Certificate, an A.A., B.A., B.S. or other similar degree for a maximum of 6 years; provided that basic registration and grade requirements are met. 

Scholarship funds will be made payable directly to the scholarship recipient in reimbursement bases. Reimbursements will be made to student for books, parking, or childcare after original receipts are provided.

Scholarship criteria:

  1. The applicant must be a graduating high school student who has benefited from participation in one or more Buenanueva Foundation, Inc. program;

  2. The applicant must explain her/his financial need for educational assistance;

  3. The applicant must be at least 17 years old but not older than 24 by the application postmark date;

  4. The applicant must explain her/his interest in continuing her/his education; identify the educational             institution of her/his preference and show proof that the educational institution has accepted the applicant.  Proof of registration must be forwarded to the Scholarship Committee prior to issuance of the first scholarship check; 

  5. No specific area of study is required, although a minimum of 6 semester units or its equivalent must be carried per semester or quarter;

  6. The scholarship recipient must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 (C+) as verified by the college or school attended.  A copy of the school transcript must be submitted to the scholarship committee at the close of each quarter or semester.

  7. Scholarships to workshops or other short term training can be funded if agency providing the service is previously approved by the Buenanueva Foundation Scholarship Committee.
